I am currently building six sizes of acoustic guitar. A Nick Lucas, 000, OM, large body slope shoulder dreadnaught, Square Shoulder Dreadnaught, and a jumbo.

Top almost ready to attach to the rim. I bind the sound hole by sinking an extra thick piece of black binding deep into the top before it is sanded to final thickness, and before I cut out the sound hole. Then when I remove the sound hole, the binding is done. Works for me. This top is going on a nice set of Madagascar Rosewood.

Recently completed “Nick Lucas” style guitar. Bog Oak from England for the back and sides that dates to around 3300 BC, and Torrefied Moon Spruce from Switzerland for the top. The sides are engineered/laminated with an inner skin of Indian Rosewood. Solid linings, Gotoh Cosmo black tuners, ebony bound sound hole, figured maple bound headstock and fretboard, along with figured maple binding on the body. Ebony pyramid bridge, black horn bridge pins with abalone dots and custom inlaid headstock.

New OM size guitar built with 5,000 year old bog oak back and sides, old growth Sitka Spruce top, leopardwood rosette and purfling, ebony binding. Bound ebony fretboard with turquoise inlays, Bog oak headstock overlay, custom inlay and Gotoh 510 Cosmo black tuners.

1957 Gibson LG1, aka “Jack the Guitar”. First picture shows how it came in. Swipe to see how it turned out. Recently completed an extensive restoration including a new top, headstock repair, back brace removal and replacement, new tuners, fretboard resurfacing and new frets, new bridge and saddle, fresh finish, K&K pickup, and a new Gibson case.
