What a week for Deep in the Heart II: Texas Rivers! On Tuesday, we gave the film, narrated by Ethan Hawke, its world premiere at Moody Performance Hall, performing Noah Sorota’s score live to screen. Now the film, featuring the soundtrack we recorded, is playing in theaters across Texas.

D Magazine caught up with filmmaker Ben Masters to talk about the rivers, wildlife, and ideas behind the film. We especially enjoyed his recollection of hearing the orchestra record the score.

Read the story:

Ben Masters’ sequel to his wildlife film Deep in the Heart focuses on what he calls “the most precious resource in Texas.”
