Acrylic on canvas
Background is blue and gold in a Coral lattice. It implies that our individual paths, though random, connect us to each other. The "lowest" image of the sand dollars, sand and bubbly waves are our strength. The sand was once the sand dollars (our similarities), broken down by the waves of life's difficulties, however, the strength in numbers of the sand tells the waves, "you can only come so far", and keeps the waves from overwhelming us when we work together. The next part, the rocks, can be viewed as a close-up of the sand, but also the beach it represents. A rocky shore vs a Sandy beach. Either way, we are similar but uniquely different. The rope is there as a reminder that we can help, or harm, one another. Next is the moonscape. The moon is notorious for controlling the 🌊 tide. Some people are "dark and moody", but beautiful just the same. The temperature is cool, almost cold, relaxing, perhaps mysterious. Finally, the sun piece on top with the anchor ⚓. Whether you view it as a rising sun, or a setting of the same, the anchor of the sun always shining, despite storms and cloudy days remains. There's gold in the sand whether due to a new beginning, or the close of a chapter of life's story. Warmth and light, forming or fading, being. Ultimately, the purpose of this piece is meant to give hope to the hopeless, humility to the proud, peace to the disturbed, and strength to the weary. Collectively, they form a postcard story of the journey we all take in search of hope, peace and love... together.
It is officially SOLD! Fittingly to a therapy office 🥰. It will be shipped to a coastal state and leave it's origin of Texas soon.
