We've got a talkback on Saturday and Sunday this week! Join us Sunday after the reading for a talkback with playwright Stephen Cole.

Stephen Cole (Washing Garbage) is an award-winning writer whose theatre career has taken his musicals from New York City to London, the Middle East, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area. His 15 produced musicals include After the Fair, The Night of the Hunter, The Road to Qatar!, Inventing Mary Martin, Saturday Night at Grossinger’s, Casper, Dodsworth, Time After Time, Merman’s Apprentice, Rock Odyssey, and Goin’ Hollywood. His books include That Book About That Girl, I Could Have Sung All Night, Mary & Ethel…and Mikey Who?, and Camelton. Matt Lyle (The Hater) Matt Lyle is a comedy writer living in Dallas, Texas and his plays are produced across the U.S. The Boxer, Hello Human Female, Barbecue Apocalypse and Big Scary Animals all garnered DFW Theater Critics Forum Awards for "Outstanding New Play”. Much of Matt’s work, including The Hater, is published by Broadway Play Publishing and his plays for youth are published by Dramallama. His next comedy is a satire about social media disguised as a parody of the movie Gremlins. Gremlins! (mostly) will premiere at Theatre Three this holiday season.

Join us tonight for the reading of the comedic play: I Was A Really Great Kisser.

Following the performance, we’ll have a talkback with the playwright to learn more and support new works!

Romney Humphrey (I Was A Really Great Kisser) is a former media writer/producer, author, and internationally produced playwright. Recent productions include the Hazel Wing Theater in Manchester, England, Nomad Theatre, Michigan, the Lab Theatre Project in Naples, Florida, the Theatre Project in Maine, July 2025, Quincy Community Theatre in Illinois, June 2025, East/West PlayFest, Port Washington Play Troupe, NY, The Acorn Center for the Performing Arts Three Oaks, Michigan, the Open Door Playhouse in July 2025 and Sky Pilot Productions in Los Angeles. Upcoming productions in 2026 include the Open Hydrant Theatre in the Bronx, Short & Sweet Festival in Yorkshire, England, and Theatrical Shenanigans in London.
