Souls of India brings our February DIY Performance series to a close with Aikya - The Union on March 23, 2024. Aikya, a Sanskrit word meaning union, portrays harmony of different types of Indian art forms as well as a taste of how traditional dances are performed all over India. Join us for this evening of music, dance, and drama!

Aikya - The Union will begin with an invocation of the gurus (or teachers) of the dancers. This will be followed by traditional Indian classical dances, namely Kathak and Bharatanatyam with live music. The evening will feature two of Rabindranath Tagore’s captivating musicals danced traditional Rabindranritya (Tagore’s style of dance) as well as Kirtana, chanting of the Vedas.

We kick start 2024 with a dance collaboration with Prabasi of New England on Indian Republic Day hosted by Indian Association of Greater Boston celebrating 110 years of Indian cinema. We are paying tribute to the legendaries Satyajit Ray and Anup Ghoshal.
