Friends, please indulge me with this wordy post, that I confess, is unrelated to the photo of Craig. In the past couple of months I have had more than the usual number of people tell me they have not “seen me for a while.” Or, they don’t see my posts in their feed. I post very single day, so, I can assure you I am here! I’m not sure why you aren’t seeing me—the Meta algorithm controls that. But here are a few things that might help—and I hope you give them a try. (This applies to any of the “pages” you enjoy.) Make sure you are following! (Go to my page by clicking the profile pic on any post and hit the blue follow button.) There is more– if you are following, press the “following” button to access more choices. Choose "feeds." You can then make any page a “favourite” and it will show higher in your time line. Additionally, go to the menu on your own personal profile and choose “feeds”. You can then ask for “pages” “favourites” or “friends” and pull up posts organized that way. It reduces the clutter. Finally, it can really help if you interact with posts. Go to my page and scroll through my photos and videos - hit the like button and comment on some posts. That should tell the Facebook Gods that you want to see more. Sadly, Facebook’s algorithm is a black hole and impossible to understand, but engaging with content can certainly help.
The number of people following my page has grown enormously in the past 6 months,(+160,000 followers) and I am very grateful for that. Sadly, the number of views and the engagement–a % of followers who interact–has gone down significantly. This, unfortunately, penalizes my page. To have followers who look at my work, share and engage with my content––and with the community here on my page, that is a wonderful thing for any content creator. Every time you like, share and comment–even an emoji–it sends a message to the algorithm that there is something worth seeing—and that helps my posts will show up more. So, THANKYOU for being here and helping that happen! If this info was helpful, please let me know. And to those of you who have not been seeing my posts–I really hope you see this long and windy one! 😂 (Thank you to Craig for attracting attention!)
