I was commissioned by an author to fold a 4-foot-wide origami dragon to be displayed across the country for her book tour. I had to go to Paper Arts, my favorite and only paper store in the area, to get great large paper for the project. Last time I went to this store, I taught the owner how to fold stars, and I brought him some strips of paper to practice with and dropped off a few models I had folded for their origami display. We also went to a great bakery and saw all the awesome graffiti and enjoyed the World Cup energy all over Dallas.

Origami tulip. The left is the crease pattern, and the finished model is on the right. This is my all-time favorite model to fold. Instead of just folding, most of this is made by scoring the paper to create crisper, cleaner lines.
