🌸SPRING CLEANING TRACKS🧹

It's about that time of the year when we all take time out of our busy lives to do some deep cleaning. To stay productive and make the task fun, we put on some jams - and sometimes, get too caught up dancing to the songs that we forget what we're actually doing. 😅

Here's some K-pop jams to add to that spring cleaning playlist to dance and bop to and, maybe, get some cleaning done with! 😉

🌺The National Flower of Korea🌺

Did you know that Korea has a national flower? Known for its resilience and hardiness in tough conditions, the 무궁화 mugunghwa hibiscus or in English "the rose of Sharon", is the national flower of Korea. It's a beautiful flower that flourishes tenacity and prosperity for the citizens of Korea.

So lovely!

[🇰🇷K-STREET FOOD 🇰🇷]

Myeongdong Street Alley is known to be a tourist destination where you can find anything and everything from department stores, beauty stores and most of all, street food! Today, we are sharing four street foods that you can try on your next trip to Korea! 😊🥰

1. Seotteok-Seotteok (top left): a rice cake and sausage skewer combo topped with a yummy sweet & spicy gochujang sauce! Super tasty and an easy on-the-go food!
2. Gyeranppang (top right): this snack literally translates into "egg bread" which is exactly what it is - bread with an egg! Vendors all over Korea sell these small bread snacks and are popular among tourists.
3. Odeng (bottom left): fishcake skewers! These are a must when visiting Korea and eating tteokbokki! Vendors will usually give you some of the soup that the skewers sit in which makes for a warm, yummy quick meal!
4. Dakgangjeong (bottom right): this street food is made up of fried chicken and tiny pieces of rice cake, fried and covered in a sweet and spicy sauce! You can find this style of chicken at most fried chicken restaurants too, made with whole pieces of chicken!

What's your favorite street food? Which one would you wanna try in Korea?? 🤩

[🇰🇷K-CULTURE TIME 🇰🇷]

Did you know that there's more than one type of 'kimchi'? In Korean cuisine, there are many types of kimchi that can be enjoyed with almost every meal. Here are five types of kimchi that you may have tried before or may be interested in trying! 😊

1. Baechu Kimchi (top left), the most common type of kimchi. You can find this type at every Korean restaurant. Made from napa cabbage, this kimchi is super yummy!
2. Pa-Kimchi (top right), a delicious kimchi made from green onions. This is my personal favorite type of kimchi! It's nice and crunchy, and really easy to make!
3. Chonggak Kimchi (middle), soft greens and crunchy radish, this kimchi made from a radish called chonggakmu! The name literally translates to ponytail kimchi. How cute!
4. Oi Kimchi (bottom left), a kimchi made from cucumbers. You may have seen this one circulating TikTok! It's really crunchy and yummy, and goes well KBBQ!
5. Baek Kimchi (bottom right), cabbage kimchi without the red pepper flakes. This type of kimchi is definitely best for those who can't handle spicy - like the elderly or children, or even those who just can't handle spicy food! It's yummy and refreshing!

Kimchi is a staple in Korean cuisine that we've all grown to love. What's your favorite Kimchi? Would you ever want a kimchi recipe? Let us know!
