Here is another classroom I did. She needed a long word wall in her room for ELAR and a student work wall in the hallway. She is new on this campus and wanted to feel at home. She chose the color scheme and theme. We love how this one came Out also. She wanted blues and greens and stars to represent shining brightly!

I’ve been so busy I haven’t had the chance to post a few classrooms I’ve done and a mural I completed as well. So I’ll start with this one for a 4th grade teacher in Frisco. She teaches Science and Math and She asked us to decorate the door to be fire proof. Lots of schools have restrictions now from the local Fire Marshall. So we covered the door in a poly vinyl and decorated with a holographic vinyl. The school’s theme was all about sparkles so we went with this theme using disco balls as well and they light up! This one was a lot of fun to create.

She also wanted a word wall, student work wall and a science themed wall for her to add content to later.

food and fun event for public! I’m here doing free face painting, there is a bounce house, food, dj and lots of awesome give aways and vendors. We are here til 4 today. Here are a few snapshots of the kiddos I’ve painted so far.

We’ve drawn jellyfish we are now painting with watercolors, made jellyfish in bottles and listening to meditative music with jellyfish. Such a relaxing and peaceful Friday.

We just finished another awesome guided paint party with 2nd graders. We will share our self portraits of 5th grade sometime tomorrow.

Mallards are the first subject matter I attempted to paint with oil paints when I was maybe 7 or 8. It’s so peaceful out here! I was sort of thrown into oil paints by family who saw my gift at a young age. I started with still life drawings of odd spots around the house. Not of a staged setting but like, maybe a portion of the tv, window behind it and part of the coffee table. I guess more environmental drawings than anything. And the still life’s I did draw were my stuffed animals.
