DAY 10 – Walls That Fell Without a Fight (Joshua 6)

• Bible Story: Jericho’s walls collapsed after worship, obedience, application: Some victories come not by force, but by obedience and praise.
📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕

🔥 When God Made Walls Fall Without a Fight – Joshua 6 🔥

Jericho was a fortress. Massive walls. Locked gates. An impossible enemy.
But God gave Israel a strategy that made no military sense at all.

No battering rams.
No siege towers.
No swords raised.

Instead, God told them to march, stay silent, blow trumpets, and worship.

For six days, nothing happened.
The walls still stood.
The enemy still mocked.

Then on the seventh day—after obedience, patience, and praise—God did what only God can do.

The trumpets sounded.
The people shouted.
And the walls collapsed instantly.

What human strength could never break, God brought down in a moment.

📖 Why this matters today:
Some battles aren’t won by force—but by trusting God when His instructions don’t make sense. Obedience releases power. Praise invites victory.

👉 Don’t just read this post—read Joshua 6 for yourself and watch God reveal even more to you.

Let God remind you that no wall is too strong when He is fighting for you. 💥🙏

Join me on a 30 day journey into the fascinating word of God . READ 2nd kings chapter 5 for yourself, below is the summary.

Day 8 – Strength in Weakness (2 Kings 5)-

Naaman almost missed healing because of pride.

Obedience unlocks miracles.

📘 Discover how humility brings healing.

2 Kings Chapter 5 tells the story of Naaman, a high-ranking Syrian army commander who is healed of leprosy by the prophet Elisha, highlighting themes of God's grace, humility, and the consequences of greed.

Key Events in 2 Kings 5:
Naaman's Dilemma: Naaman is a "mighty man of valor" but a l***r. A young Israelite captive girl serving his wife suggests that the prophet in Samaria (Elisha) can heal him.

The Journey and Anger: Naaman travels to Israel with immense wealth to buy his healing. The King of Israel panics, but Elisha instructs that Naaman be sent to him. Elisha does not meet Naaman personally, but sends a messenger telling him to wash in the Jordan River seven times. Naaman is furious at this simple, humiliating request.

Healing and Conversion: Naaman's servants convince him to obey. He dips seven times and is completely cured. Upon his return, Naaman proclaims there is no God except in Israel and attempts to pay Elisha, who refuses any reward.

Gehazi's Greed and Punishment: Elisha's servant, Gehazi, decides to chase after Naaman to take money and clothing under false pretenses. When confronted by Elisha, Gehazi lies, resulting in a curse: Naaman's leprosy clings to Gehazi and his descendants forever.

Main Themes:
Universal Grace: God’s power to heal is shown to extend beyond Israel to a foreign, pagan enemy.

Humility vs. Pride: Naaman must humble himself to receive healing through a simple, unglamorous command.

Greed vs. Integrity: Gehazi's covetousness contrasts with Elisha’s refusal to accept payment for God's grace.

Day 7 – God Answers by Fire (1 Kings 18) Summarized from vs 1-48

📖 Elijah challenged false gods—and God showed up powerfully.
✨ The true God still answers prayer.
📘 Read Elijah’s bold faith in action.

After three years of severe famine, God sent Elijah to present himself to King Ahab with the promise of rain. During this time, Obadiah, Ahab’s palace administrator and a faithful believer in the Lord, had secretly hidden and provided for one hundred of the Lord’s prophets while Queen Jezebel was killing them. Elijah met Obadiah, assured him of his safety, and Obadiah arranged a meeting between Elijah and Ahab.
Elijah confronted Ahab, declaring that Israel’s trouble came from abandoning the Lord and following Baal. He summoned all Israel, along with the prophets of Baal and Asherah, to Mount Carmel and challenged the people to choose whom they would serve. Elijah proposed a test: the god who answered by fire would be shown to be the true God.

The prophets of Baal cried out to their god from morning until evening, dancing and even cutting themselves until blood flowed, but there was no response, no answer, and no sign that Baal heard them. Elijah then repaired the altar of the Lord with twelve stones, prepared a sacrifice, and drenched it with water three times. When Elijah prayed, fire from the Lord fell and completely consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the water, and the altar itself.

When the people saw this, they fell to the ground and declared, “The Lord, He is God.” The prophets of Baal were seized and destroyed. Elijah then told Ahab that rain was coming. After persistent prayer, a small cloud rose from the sea, the sky grew dark, and a heavy rain ended the drought. Strengthened by the power of the Lord, Elijah ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

We lost my dear sister in Christ back in 2016, after she celebrated her 63rd birthday. Her kindness in my life was so impactful. I had gone to another city on a trip and stopped at a small church 5 hours from my home, and knew no one. I was the only African American in the church. I was greeted by Doris Mckinstry. She warmly introduced herself and her hubby. We sang praise and worship together. We exchanged numbers and shortly thereafter she was diagnosed with cancer. She fought every day to give God glory till the end. Ministering in her hospital room, Ministering to me via text. I shared a post below from some lessons she taught me when I spent the night at the hospital with her. I will forever share your story Doris. Until we meet again. Love you. ❤️❤️❤️

Today our beautiful friend Doris McKinstry will shave her hair off as she begins a major round of chemo today. She is in high spirits and in less than 12 hours with her she taught me valuable lessons:

1. Love knows no color : She is not eligible for a bone marrow transplant BUT THE LIFE SAVING BLOOD of the blood donors come from all ethnicities. She says she's Heinz 57 when she looks up at the blood she doesn't see white blood black blood Hispanic Asian native America Etc. She sees human blood which carries oxygen which allows her to keep living and she's grateful for every human being that unselfishly donated their blood for her to live!

2. She says she's not afraid of death and knows that God has a beautiful place when it's her time to be called home. Her request is simply to not rob God of his glory so she's ministering to everyone that comes in her room with her smile her joy her gospel music playing and the word of God and as long as she has life she will give God glory!

3. Hospitality- she made my coffee! She made my bed! She fluffed my pillows! She made me feel like I was at her home and she said her mama raised her to always make sure guests are comfortable when they come to your house. And for now the hospital is her house and she did just that made me feel at home.

4. A new perspective: I asked her besides being a child of God what was one of her greatest accomplishments. She said becoming a giver! Instead of garage sales she started donating and her life became about giving..This brought and unspeakable joy and she gives with no expectations of what they will do with it or even if they appreciate it. She says that she gives with good will, good intent and expecting nothing in return and with that she's done her part and God is pleased.

Love you big sister Doris and we are rooting and cheering for you all the way!!!!

Day 7 – When God gives wisdom even the most absurd idea to man shows God’s amazing Wisdom (1 Kings 3)

This story contains 2 prostitutes, the death of a child, theft, lies, deceit, a mother’s love, a crazy decision and an outcome that few would have expected.

📖 Solomon asked for wisdom—God granted it and now had to make a diabolical decision… or some would think.
✨ Ask God for wisdom before success.
📘 Explore how wisdom changes lives.

A Wise Ruling

16 Now two prostitutes came to the king and stood before him. 17 One of them said, “Pardon me, my lord. This woman and I live in the same house, and I had a baby while she was there with me. 18 The third day after my child was born, this woman also had a baby. We were alone; there was no one in the house but the two of us.

19 “During the night this woman’s son died because she lay on him. 20 So she got up in the middle of the night and took my son from my side while I your servant was asleep. She put him by her breast and put her dead son by my breast. 21 The next morning, I got up to nurse my son—and he was dead! But when I looked at him closely in the morning light, I saw that it wasn’t the son I had borne.”

22 The other woman said, “No! The living one is my son; the dead one is yours.”

But the first one insisted, “No! The dead one is yours; the living one is mine.” And so they argued before the king.

23 The king said, “This one says, ‘My son is alive and your son is dead,’ while that one says, ‘No! Your son is dead and mine is alive.’”

24 Then the king said, “Bring me a sword.” So they brought a sword for the king. 25 He then gave an order: “Cut the living child in two and give half to one and half to the other.”

26 The woman whose son was alive was deeply moved out of love for her son and said to the king, “Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don’t kill him!”

But the other said, “Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!”

27 Then the king gave his ruling: “Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother.”

28 When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.
