You need large walls to collect original art.

Stop that thought!

Size doesn't matter!

Original artwork comes in many different shapes and sizes. You can collect art that fits your display size.

Small corners that hold a 6 x 6 or shelf sitters that need to be 2 x2 or 3 x3.

Most artists will accommodate size differences.

All YOU need to do is ask.

I’ve been sharing a few stories behind my older pieces this week

realizing a lot of you have no idea how I came about

take a sip of something yummy and read on...

Beachy Keen, Lavender Drift, Salt Grass & Silence, and Flutter all came from everyday life... traveling, coastal living, colors that made me excited to paint, and those small scenes that are so pretty.

One of them even started right in my backyard.

I remember standing there, noticing the greens in my backyard grass, and thinking, “paint what you know.”

And honestly, that’s what connects all four pieces, being excited about life around me and connecting.

I hope these paintings remind you of being excited about your life, the moments you stopped and looked around and really saw your surroundings

I think its because of how soothing the colors are.

🎨 This was one of my first paintings and my favorite color palette.

I went with "paint what you know," "drum roll please."

I painted MY BACK YARD...😆

Art isn’t affordable.

Honestly? It can be.

Most of us decorate and collect in our homes the same way we live our lives…one choice and one day at a time. The same way I created Woven Whispers, one small line at a time.

You don’t need to buy a large piece of original art. You can start small or buy a print.

Just pick one piece that feels good.

Add another when the timing and your budget is right.

That’s how most real art collections start. Little by little.
Easy. Natural. No pressure.

And if my art ever becomes part of that slow, steady collection of yours, I hope it feels like something that fits right into your life.

I’ve been reading the book Effortless, and it really got me thinking about Woven Whispers and how so much of this collection came from moments when I just let my pen move. It was easy.

No pressure, no plan…just me taking a minute to draw.

And honestly, that’s where the magic happened.

It made me realize we don’t always need to plan. Sometimes the simple, easy things bring out the clearest parts of us.

So, here’s my little reminder for you today:
Let one thing be easy. Just one.
A breath.
A choice.
A moment.

That’s how Woven Whispers was born, and maybe it will help you see how things can be easy for you.

A lot of people think you need fancy, expensive supplies to make art, but you really don’t.

Sure, nice materials can help, but they’re not what makes the art meaningful.

Some of the most powerful pieces out there were made with the simplest things.

What really matters is your creativity, your ideas, emotions and letting yourself play.
