Someone Else's Problem Someone Else's Problem is a three piece classic and alternative rock band from Central Virginia. venue, 9:30 Club, on Valentine’s Day 1984.

Vincent Vala is a singer/guitarist from Culpeper, Va., who has spent a lifetime playing in bands in and around the state. Having started performing with local bands while still in middle school, Vala most recently spent years performing with regional band The Usual Suspects, before forming the classic/alternative rock band Someone Else's Problem with fellow Central Virginia musicians drummer/vocal

ist Nate Delesline III, and bassist/vocalist Aubrey Driggers. Prior to his time with these groups, Vala spent the late 1980s and early 1990s playing with the band One Bad Dillinger, which recorded a CD entitled Child Psyche with former House of Freaks drummer Johnny Hott at the Flood Zone Studios in Richmond in 1989. During the early 1980s, Vala played at Virginia Tech with the new wave group, Geneva Convention. The band opened for Violent Femmes in October, 1983 at the renown local bar, Top of the Stairs, and played at the original location of the legendary Washington, D.C. The group also recorded and released two original sets of songs, 1984's Distance and 1983's Nine Pictures, which featured Vala's song "Magic," which reached number one on the singles chart of the Virginia Tech radio station, WUVT, during the fall of 1983.

A big thank you to Culpeper 4Th Of July Celebration for having us play at Yowell Meadow Park. We had a great time and the committee did a fantastic job dealing with all the weather. A massive thank you to I&L's DJing's Ian Chini for helping us sound pretty, and Michael Douglas for helping us look pretty.
