Thanks to everyone who attended our May 5th Open House meeting at the Crystal Community Center.
A special thanks to Charlie & Shelly Snorek [Moving From a Hobby to a Business] & Steve Huber [Creating a Work of Art from Stone] for sharing their personal rock journeys. Audience members asked lots of questions that generated a rich discussion about starting a business and learning the techniques for rock carving.
The ACG&MC is on our summer break during June, July and August. We will resume our monthly meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 8th at the Crystal Community Center. Watch for our September announcement!

Whether you're a beginner or are experienced in the lapidary arts, the ACGMC invites you to join our rock club community. We also provide monthly meetings, unique programs, a monthly newsletter, membership in the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies AND host two rock shows each year: an April spring and October fall rock. Thank you all who attended and supported the ACG&MC Spring Rock and Gem Show! Crazy weather on Saturday didn't affect any rock lovers from attending....In fact, just the opposite. Twenty vendors brought wonderful rock specimens and items for all ages....Thank you again for all your support! (Mark you calendar for our fall show the last weekend in October!)
