Four characters that lived for months on the page and in imagination now have faces, voices, and people who will bring them to life.

The world of UNSTABLE is becoming real.

Two roles in **UNSTABLE** have now been cast.

Nearly 400 submissions for the Collector. Around 350 for the Husband.

From hundreds of submissions came auditions, self-tapes, callbacks, second rounds — and some incredibly difficult decisions.

Now, two characters finally have their actors.

It’s a strange and exciting moment — characters that existed only in imagination are beginning to become real.

We’re getting closer.

Logline: A film with a dark, sensual, dreamlike atmosphere, set firmly in the present day while drawing on imagery that feels older and more elemental, it explores the beauty of light and dark in human nature, the fragile boundaries between feelings and states, and challenges familiar notions of love, intimacy, freedom, and human nature beyond simple definitions of good and evil to explore the possibility of accepting life itself as something living, imperfect, changeable, and ultimately unpossessable.

CASTING CALL – FEATURE FILM "UNSTABLE"

Seeking an actor for one of the lead roles.

THE COLLECTOR

Male, approximately 35–55 (flexible if the look and presence are right).

The Collector is not a traditional villain.

He is intelligent, observant, refined, and quietly charismatic. He notices beauty where others see nothing. He speaks calmly, dresses impeccably, and seems slightly disconnected from ordinary reality. His kindness feels genuine… until it slowly becomes something unsettling.

We're looking for someone with a memorable presence rather than conventional leading-man looks. The role requires subtle emotional acting, restraint, and the ability to convey complex thoughts with very little dialogue or overt emotion.

Appearance:

We are seeking an actor for the lead role of **Husband** in an independent feature film with a dark, atmospheric visual style.

**Looking for:**

• Male actor, approximately 25–40 (open to actors who look right for the role)

• Long hair is required for the role

• Hair color is flexible

• Strong screen presence and emotional range

• Ability to portray a complex character with intensity, mystery, and emotional depth

• Distinctive, memorable cinematic appearance

This is a paid lead role for an actor who can bring authenticity, emotional depth, and a compelling on-screen presence to the character.
