White oak snake came to say hi today 😅

I was ready to chop his head off when I saw him from my backdoor, but I ended up letting him go. White oaks are non venomous, non aggressive, rat eating snakes. As long as he doesn't get a taste for my chicken or duck eggs, he's beneficial pest control.

I definitely don't want him on the kid's trampoline, but he was pretty quick to go on his way. It was a cool learning opportunity for my 3rd grader to see this snake up close. We compared white oak snakes to rattlesnakes and moccasins, and talked about what to do when you see a snake outside.
