📢 Tonight is your chance to give feedback as Kenton County Fiscal Court will discuss Flock cameras.
➡️Hundreds of Newport residents showed up to voice concerns about Flock cameras, and their message was clear: privacy matters. Newport has now voted to end its Flock pilot program!
➡️ As Kenton County considers this technology, residents have the same opportunity to be heard tonight.
This isn't about being "for" or "against" public safety. We all want safe neighborhoods. The question is how we get there.
Regardless of where you stand on the issue, decisions involving surveillance, privacy, and public safety deserve your input.
✨Listen, y'all: Public safety matters. Privacy matters. Civil liberties matter. And community input matters.
In my humble opinion, lasting safety comes from strong communities, youth opportunities, mental health resources, housing stability, and neighbors who know and look out for one another. They all play a role in creating safer neighborhoods.
If you have thoughts on this issue, swing by tonight, listen, and share your feedback.
