🎉 IT'S FRIDAY, Council Bluffs!

Fun fact to kick off your weekend: the world's first mini golf course was actually built because women in the early 1900s weren't allowed to play regular golf in long skirts 😬 — so a shorter, skirt-friendly course was invented instead. Over 100 years later, mini golf is still going strong (and we're glad skirts are no longer a putting hazard).

⚠️ MID-WEEK PIRATE TIP ⚠️

Here's a free trick for tricky mini golf holes with a hill or ramp: most people hit too hard because they're scared of coming up short. But on an uphill shot, a soft, controlled tap almost always beats a hard whack — the slope does more of the work than you think.

Rule of thumb: when in doubt, putt softer than feels natural. You can always tap it again. 🏌️

Halfway through the week — hang in there! A little break on the green never hurt anyone. We're open noon-8pm today if you need to test this tip out. ⛳
