Did you know you can pick your blueberries before they are completely ripe? The white film on blueberries is called “bloom” and it’s a natural moisture and defense barrier. They will ripen in a day or two 🙂
Not washing your berries until ready to eat or freeze is recommended so they do not dry out. When you wash them You strip the bloom.
