Aspen Hot Glass Since 1993, our work has produced glass art, including hand-blown contemporary marbles, Pixie Orb ornaments, bottle stoppers, and more.

Later, we started incorporating electronics and metal art into our designs. Aspen Hot Glass creates unique, handcrafted glass art and Steampunk designs. Bill and Rae Grout, the artists behind Aspen Hot Glass, left their scientific careers to pursue their passion. A former avionics technician, Bill began working with glass in Montana in 1993. Rae is the author and illustrator of the Punk Shop Dragon book series inspired by a dragon she drew for their company logo named Harmony, who helps them blow their glass. They tell their customers each piece of glass is blown with love and harmony.

Wow, this is coming up fast: November 7 & 8 at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds. I am working on my music playlist for this show and am happy to be "DJ Rae" again. The playlist I have I had been putting together since the 1980s. This is a Holiday show, I play Holiday music, not your average Christmas music. I did promise Bill I would no longer sing Happy Birthday over the mic. I have that prerecorded, LOL. Hope to see everyone there.

The Bill & Rae Show

Bill and Rae are both full time artists from Corvallis Montana. “We are science geeks to glassblowers”. Both have technical backgrounds in the high tech avionics industry but left the corporate life to live their dream.

Bill became a full time artist and started blowing glass in 1993 and Rae left the corporate world in 2002 to be with Bill and become a glassblower. In 2016 they began incorporating metal working, dragon attire and Steampunk designs into their glass art. Together they live on a small farm that includes orchards, an extensive garden with a green house, Steampunk shop, Torch shop for torch work glassblowing, Bills Man Cave equipped with a electronics wing and Brew house. Their farm has fantastic views overlooking the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. Together they spread love and harmony, sharing this fantastic journey called life.
