Hey friends. I’m asking for prayer. So I finally went to the ER to get answers for the insane back and leg pain. We found out about the bulging discs and anuler tear two years ago. We didn’t know it progressed to a Protrusion pinching the main sciatica nerve which affects clusters of nerves down my legs. Surgery is taking place asap. They told me they’ll call me tomorrow morning. I believe in Jesus to still HEAL. I’ve seen Him do it time and time again. My theology: go get the Drs help but Ultimately trust in the Great Physician. 😎

Adam wasn't alive until God's breath entered him.
To this day, we identify if someone is alive by whether they still have breath in their lungs. In a poetic way, God defines His Spirit using the same root word for breath. He even declares that when we invite Him, He will breath new life into us and empower us to do His will, bear His image, and use the gifts He gave us like never before to co-create with Him here and now! WOW!

I find it remarkable that King Jesus partners with mankind. With all our missteps, mistakes, blunders, ego, despite all of that, He continues to look at broken jars of clay and say, “I want to shine My glory through you.” What is also remarkable to me is that we will stand before Him one day and give an account for what we did with what He gave. We’re given many parables by Jesus Himself, illustrating that He (being the Master) will come back, expecting us to have invested our gifts and talents - our work of art - and multiply it in order to serve a broken world. He brings beauty to the world through us. Do you realize that King Jesus has given you all you need for godly living - all the gifts/abilities you need in order to create something wonderful here and now... before He comes back? That's remarkable!
Too many Christian live with escape-mentality. It's a "get-me-outta-here" faith. But the Gospels communicate something different. Jesus empowers His followers to bring renewal wherever they go. He empowers us and expects us to follow-through on using what He has given us to serve people and build His Kingdom. When He comes back, will He find you working/creating/building/stewarding... or will He find you just kinda waiting... idle.

Church Leaders,
When your team approaches you with an idea, do you listen and listen closely?
When your staff asks to meet with you, are you available?
Do you have a consistent meeting with them where you get on the same page regarding current objectives, pastoring people and hearing from them?
Sadly, I've heard far too many staff pastors call me and say "Jordan, what do I do with this situation... My boss (lead pastor) never has time for me. He's always too busy. I haven't talked with them one on one in months ..."
