I’ve had so much I wanted to share at the end of this year, but I’ve been so busy and then sick for the last couple of weeks, but I’m finally getting around to it TODAY!
2025 has been such an incredible journey; I started teaching for myself this year, and I learned A LOT during that process! I met so many incredible people of all ages that wanted to dance, and it has been so fulfilling to offer them a space to grow and enjoy dancing.
I got to be part of a beautiful, meaningful main stage show while choreographing “Fiddler on the Roof”, and I’m so grateful for all of the people that helped me grow as a choreographer. And the circles persist in every show I choreograph now 😂 (if you know, you know!)
I worked on my first kids’ show in a new stage setting with an incredible group of kids, which meant we had a lot of laughs and a lot of learning to move in a new space. I will never get tired of “Sparkle Jolly” and “Revolting Children”!
Then I put myself out there as a singer with Classical Singer’s competition, and it really opened my eyes to the possibilities. It’s so easy for us to overlook our own potential!
Then I got to be a part of inaugural YPTC Summer Camp Intensive with “Bye Bye Birdie”! It was amazing to see the growth in the kids from day one to their final performance, and I’m so excited to be part of “Cats: Young Performers’ Edition” this summer!
And then, what a joy it was to not just be back on stage again, but to share the experience with my amazing (and super talented!) husband! Doing one of my favorite shows with one of my favorite people will always be such a special experience for me! Also, jump roping is actually a really fun form of cardio, 10/10 would recommend!
As we end 2025, I’m so excited to see all the hard work of our “Diary of Wimpy Kid” cast come together in January! They’ve worked so hard, and it’s been a blast creating these dance numbers with them!
2025 was a year for growth and learning for me as a teacher, performer, choreographer, and person. It wasn’t always easy, but those moments where we feel pushed to our limit is where we find growth. (Continuing in the comments lol)
