scenes from ⛈️💪🏻🌼 featuring my thursday night booth setup plan (pic 2) followed by what actually happened. 😵💫😅 i’m lucky that all i lost was my tent, a bunch of replaceable paper stock, a few cheap display items, and several hours of time/sleep to reset everything. i feel so sorry for the vendors who were hit harder with more devastating setbacks.
everyone i encountered this weekend was so kind, helpful, uplifting, and resilient af. this feels like a ridiculously long post but i have a ton of people i want to give a shout-out to below — and wish i could thank many more beyond this list whose names/tags i don’t even know — for helping me get through such a crazy experience while coming away feeling like it was still a success.
✨ jess for handling an unimaginable situation so professionally + coordinating an incredible crew of helpers
✨ kate + kay + everyone else who waded through water to gather up my stuff with such patience + compassion
✨ erin for digging a replacement tent + weighted bags out of storage for me to borrow last-minute
✨ rachel for the humor, troubleshooting + muscle to hang up dumpster-salvaged tent walls with zip ties while encouraging me to go eat lunch
✨ bri .mccoy.collection + molly + jade for cheering me up with good company (+ the surprise iced latte this morning, jade!)
✨ adam for staying up late to help me start re-carding my inventory + cooking an amazing dinner for me to come home to today
✨ everyone who messaged me to check in, send good vibes, offer a replacement tent, etc.
✨ friends + shoppers who visited me/my booth + showed up to support all the vendors this weekend
…thank you all so much!!! 🤯 as someone who struggles to ask for/accept help, it’s the hugest deal in the world to realize how many people truly want to provide it + how overwhelming it feels to have so many show up for you in different ways. dang. 💖
