I’ve been up north at a friends cabin this week. In the evenings I took an on line class and made these 4 12x12 collages. You can see the progressions here. The top one is the final product and I am so happy with them. If anyone is interested I will sell all 4 for $350.00. They are in a line here but they also would look great hung in a square formation.

These pieces are the result of my creative efforts over the last few days, with a primary focus on experimenting with new techniques and skills acquired through the online course Art of Flow. I am thoroughly enjoying the experience and gaining valuable knowledge. The first piece is a sketch I completed at the Como Conservatory last week.

1.Immortal Invisible

“Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
in light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.”
This hymn is all about the invisible glory of God. What came to mind was memories of
walking in a forest and the sun, just for a moment, flashes. It’s blinding, then a leaf moves,
and it is gone. Impossible to photograph and difficult to paint it is a light inaccessible and
yet so real we are left blinking wondering what just happened. It is something like a brief
glimpse of our “most glorious Ancient of Days”.
