Hoping the heat 🥵 doesn’t beat us up this Thursday…Last week was brutal and definitely affected the turn out. Looking at the weather it looks like Thursday will be a sunny day without the rain so get ready to shred! Thrasher Thursday 7. 16.26 530pm till ….. in Conway SC at the Warrior Skate Co Headquarters. Hope to see you there! ** weather permitting, we will announce if the event is to be canceled** Skaters under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet while skating on the ramp. Please remember this is a skateboard only event. No offense to the bmxers, roller skate/bladers and scooter riders this ramp just wasn’t built for the impact of those types of equipment as this is a personal home build. However, if you want to just hang out and be around with everyone you are more than welcome to do so! please PM Billy Staples Or Warrior Skate Co for the address if interested in attending! Big News for the upcoming summer and fall months ahead! Thrasher Thursdays 🤙🏻 will be starting this Thursday June 25th 530pm till ? Sk8 Conway is hosting this event at the Warrior Skate Co Headquarters here in Conway SC. ( weather permitting each Thursday) Warrior Skate Co has offered to host these events at their Mini Ramp they recently built in their backyard. Please note this will be a SKATEBOARD ONLY event. No Bikes, Rollerskates/blades or scooters will be allowed on the ramp due to the build not being built to endure the impact of those objects. Everyone that is under the age of 18 must wear a helmet while skating on the ramp! We hope this will be a fun event to grow skills, fun, and friendship in the community for all ages. We haven't posted in some time but it doesn't mean we're gone.
Getting a skatepark built doesn't happen over night or in year. Here is where we are with it. We have presented to city council, attended events and had events to promote the skatepark. The skatepark did make it to the city's recommendation plan to be possibly be built. But if you ask me when, I can't give anyone that answer. All sk8conway can do is continue to promote the idea and have events. There are two petitions our there for a skatepark in Conway, sign and share either one to show support. If you live in Conway and have space for us to set up some ramps and obstacles, please let me know. As much as we would like to have a skate day once a month, the cost for one day insurance is pretty pricey. We are open to all ideas and any assistance.

With the temps being high and work , we havnt been posting much. But we are still out here trying to move the ball foward. We will plan some dates soon to continue to offer beginners skate lessons at one of the parks here in Conway. Until then make to trip over to Matt Hughs Skatepark in Myrtle Beach. Most time if you go before 12 there's always someone there to offer assistance. We will post those dates and locations soon.
