Meet the Owner – Aprile Adkins of Running Wild Artisan 🍪

Hi, I’m Aprile Adkins, the heart behind Running Wild Artisan. I’m 49 years old and originally from Ohio. About five years ago, my husband and I made our way to California for what was supposed to be a short stay. He’s a journeyman lineman and his work brought us to the beautiful little town of Colusa.

We never expected to stay long, but something about Colusa, especially the people, just felt like home. This community welcomed us with open arms and we quickly fell in love with the kindness, support, and small-town charm.

With my husband working six to seven days a week, I found myself looking for something creative to do with my time. I started baking cookies just for fun and would drop them off to friends and neighbors around town. It was a simple way to connect and bring a little sweetness to people’s day.

What started as a hobby quickly grew into something more. Thanks to the encouragement of this amazing community, Running Wild Artisan was born. Every batch I bake still carries that same love and small-town spirit that inspired me from the beginning.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I’m so excited to keep sharing my cookies and a little joy with you all.
