These were so popular at the Worthington Arts Festival!

As I prepare to make more ice cream cone bags, which “flavor” do you think did the best? And which one would you choose?

That’ll help me prep the right amount of each kind for my next drop. 🍦

Let me know in the comments if you have a second 🙂 I’ll reveal which one did the best later today!

Take some time to be creative today!

The moment that all vendor market people hope for happened at the end of my day. 🥹

A few highlights of the weekend:
✨I had returning customers within the same weekend
✨I completely ran out of some of my inventory and was left with only a few products
✨The joy that people had, even for a moment, seeing/hearing about my product was so fun to witness
✨I was able to encourage multiple people to go and get creative
✨The sweetest girls came and did an art swap with me of their pottery for my pencil pouches
✨My booth neighbor won second place at the art festival and she was so awesome
✨My husband continues to amaze me with how supportive he is toward my dreams
✨I had several friends come and visit my booth and it fills my heart so much
✨I met my financial goal on the first day, and exceeded it by almost 50% on the second 🥹

Thank you to McConnell Arts Center for giving me a chance to display my booth at your art festival. It was an amazing experience.

It was definitely a weekend to remember! 🥹

I hope you enjoy the little vlog and that you get to go be creative today!

What I was trying to show you was how many people have walked by and pointed saying those are” soooo cute”. But my reenactment doesn’t convey that at all. 😂

Please enjoy my moment of embarrassment caught on camera.

I hope you get to be creative today!

Day 1 of the McConnell Arts Center Worthington Arts Festival in the books! And WOW! What an awesome day.

I started out the day feeling hopeful, and ended the day feeling a bit of shock. Never have I experienced selling out of things before. So that was a very exciting and kinda mind-boggling experience.

I’m just so grateful I can’t stop saying it. 🥹

Follow along for day 2 tomorrow! And come visit me if you are in the area. I still have a few things left, I promise! Meanwhile, I’m going to lay down and try to wrap my brain around life. 😵‍💫

I hope you got to be creative today,

A simple stamp can add so much value to a product!

I designed my stamp to serve many purposes, to:
✨Talk about the heart and soul of my business
✨Give you a sense of being a part of a bigger story
✨Make the item feel like a collectible and limited piece of art by giving them edition numbers
✨Advertise my website so that you know where to go in the future if you want make another purchase
✨Give a reference to where I believe true new life comes from: 2 Corinthians 5:17

This little stamp does so much, and I love pointing it out at markets as a small detail to bring delight.

Do you think it adds value?

I hope you get to be creative today!

Celebrating a final step being completed in bulk prepping these pencil pouches that look like pencils. Finishing up that last stitch was so satisfying I can’t even tell you.

Now I get to celebrate hard work being completed, but also that so much discarded fabric is being given a new story to tell. That’s even more satisfying.

Handmade products are no joke, and require so much work. But it is incredibly fulfilling work and makes the products part of a bigger story.

Let me know if you enjoy bulk prepping footage and I can make more content like that!

As always, I hope you get to be creative today.

Creativity is not a talent because we are all born with the ability to create and be creative. How that expresses itself in our lives looks different for every person.

For me, it’s looked very whimsical and artistic. For my husband, it’s looked like being able to cultivate and keep relationships with people and their finances.

What has creativity looked like in your life? And if you haven’t ever taken notice of it, maybe spend some time noticing where your excitement for life crosses with something that you are naturally good at. And go from there.

I’m loving this season of life where my creativity has taken root in coming up with creatively cute products that are made from giving old fabric new life. But it’s taken me a long time and many creative outlets to come to this part of my creative story. It’s important that we don’t rush through the process, because learning and growing is the whole point.

I know that I am deeply connected to my creative side because of my relationship with God as the Creator. The creative story that is in all of us makes everything have more meaning and a bigger story.

I hope you feel inspired and have some time to play and express your creativity today.

Speckled Creative was reborn this year out of a place of deep need to connect with the creative story that’s bigger than me and the communal creative story that connects all of us. My hope is that everyone who interacts with this brand would be positively impacted in some way. Thank you for being a part of this little thing I called Speckled.

These values are just the tip of what I dream of Speckled accomplishing. I have more details on my website if you are interested in learning more. And I hope to be able to post blogs and valuable content there in the future.

As always, go be creative today. You’ll feel better.
