The Festival of the Fae started as a small event held at Founder Wesley Stewart 's front yard exactly one year ago as a way to bring whimsy and joy to the humble city of Columbus, MS. Don't get us wrong, the festival is still held in his front yard, but now that community of fantasy lovers grew and cultivated an event of 100+ vendors, thousands upon thousands of patrons, and a way to bring together renaissance enjoyers everywhere.
It is thanks to Wesley Stewart , Autumn Mason , Lili Collins , Kaitlyn Zhang , Valerie Jones , and Allison Elizabeth Grantham who gave us this space, volunteering their own personal time to make this happen.
Thank you Wesley for actualizing this vision and for seeing it through all the difficult days. Your blood, sweat, and tears do not go unnoticed, especially after spending every single waking hour laboring on the faegrounds, dislocating your knee, and being the face of this festival.
Thank you Autumn for doing everything in the book for this event. From vendor and patron coordination, to turning this event to an official and structured business, to taking care of the nitty gritty aspects behind the scenes. You are the glue who keeps this whole thing together.
Thank you Lili for being our in house printer and distributer. You let us hold the magic of the festival in our hands. You print our merch, take our posters to every corner of Northern Mississippi, and take care of every piece of physical media.
Thank you Valerie for giving us our website, providing our merch, and giving us the emotional support we need from across the country. You give us the online space to understand our event and have a piece of it for us to wear.
Thank you Allison for jumping in and hit the ground running, helping with organizing the quest, painting our sponsor shields, having the most incredible costumes known to man, and working on tasks behind the scenes.
And I'm Kaitlyn, I create all the designs for our festival and run our social media. I won't give myself a thank you, but rather I'd like to say how it's an honor to share the immense beauty and enchantment that is the Festival of the Fae with all of you. Thank you ♥️
