💔 🦋 Dolly, we will always love you.

Today, we say goodbye to one of the greatest songwriters, performers, and humanitarians the world has ever known. Dolly Parton leaves behind a legacy that reaches far beyond country music. Her songs, generosity, humor, and unmistakable spirit touched generations.

For CGMC, Dolly’s music has been part of our own story, too. And for so many in the LGBTQIA+ community, Dolly has been more than a musical icon—she has been a beloved ally who consistently reminded us to love one another, treat people with kindness, and celebrate what makes us different. Her message of compassion and acceptance has meant so much to q***r people around the world. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

In 2022, we celebrated the music of Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift and The Chicks with "Dolly & The Swift Chicks", and took on one of Dolly’s most iconic songs: “Jolene.” Today, we’re sharing that performance again as our little tribute to a woman whose music gave so many of us a voice.
