Patch of Glass Studio

Patch of Glass Studio As Patch of Glass Studio, I strive to create unique stained glass patterns and suncatchers with a hint of inspiration from pop culture and science.

Creative hobbies have always been apart of my personal story as has entrepreneurship. In middle school, I sold crochet dolls and animals to my classmates and community to raise money to buy myself a MacBook Pro. It was every mid 2010's teenagers dream to be decked out with Apple technology, and I was determined to be a consumer. While today I enjoy a lower drive for consumption, I've always had th

e itch to create and provide beautiful art for people to enjoy in their homes or gardens. In 2024, I began taking stained glass classes at my local makerspace and found myself thinking every moment of things to make patterns of and projects to make in my garage studio. Thus, Patch of Glass Studio was born. At Patch of Glass Studio, I strive to create unique stained glass patterns and suncatchers with a hint of my own love for pop culture and science. I love a good challenge, if you have an idea for a pattern or a suncatcher that you would like made I'm happy to help you making that dream a reality!

Back to where things all started for me ❤️

Over the last month, I’ve had the joy of being able to help Columbus Propeller bring a full fledge stained glass studio to life. A huge thanks needs to be given to Tracy Munn for all he does to build community at Propeller. Another huge thanks to Valerie Burns for letting me join her in this wonderful crazy adventure and bringing the studios vision to life. Valerie and I learned stained glass at Propeller, even taking several classes together! Both of us followed our own stained glass journeys over the past year and are now coming together to share the love and joy for glass we’ve built.

Classes go live at 11am EST TODAY for our March classes, check it out in the link in bio or on my story. We have 6 seats in each class, with more classes to partake in coming soon! Valerie and I have big ideas for what we can offer and how we can build a glass community in Columbus in 2026.

Come try new hobbies and crafts with Propeller, you will not regret it ❤️

My Year In Glass - 2025 đź’–đź’›

2025 was full of so much personal growth but also so much growth for Patch of Glass as a business. This business began as an assignment for MBA school, but has become so much more. I still have not been able to completely comprehend that people see my work and want to display it in their homes or offices. Nothing makes me happier than to bring silly little things to life through glass.

In order above:
• Sabrina Carpenter - where it all began, my first pattern that made me feel limitless
• Mermaid Scales - made for my mama, but reproduced 4x throughout the year thanks to Etsy sales
• UFO - when I first made this in March I had NO IDEA the sheer number of these I’d make. Learned a lot about pricing thanks to the 40+ UFOs I made this year.
•Starry Stonewart - For a coworker 💙💛 there is NOTHING like creating “merch” for the things that go merchless in this world! Don’t get me wrong, invasive species = bad but they can also be beautiful!
• The Dragon - This pattern was rough and hand drawn and took all the confidence I had gained with my Sabrina piece and threw it in the trash. I will get my redemption with dragons one day but not in 2025!
•Groovy Propagation Station - After an inspiring trip to my favorite glass shop this piece fell into the world and sparked a whole summer of propagation stations for me. Love that clear glass.
•Cat Moon - pattern, one that was so well loved this Halloween I made it twice and sold it on its first day at the market each time. Can’t go wrong with Peppy Fox patterns!
•Dragon Fly collab - Such a fun piece that came into existence through Indy Gay Market. Indy Gay Markets were my home away from home in 2025 and I’ve made so many amazing friends I love to cheer on here on social media ❤️💛💙
•Pincher Bug - Almost sold before I could get a photo of it, bugs were a huge surprise to me in 2025 I did not think as many people would share my fascination with bugs but ended up having amazing conversations with budding entomologists and bug fans of all ages. They will be back in 2026!
