A lot of people know me through gaming, live streams, and promotional content, but behind all of that, this has also become part of how I support myself and my family.
Indiana recently passed House Bill 1052, which will officially ban online sweepstakes-style gaming platforms starting July 1, 2026. These are the same types of platforms I’ve worked with through promotional partnerships, content creation, and community engagement over the last few years.
To be honest, this one hits hard for me personally.
For many people, this is just another news headline about online gaming regulations. For me, it directly affects a source of income I’ve spent years building through long nights, content creation, community management, promotions, videos, streams, and partnerships with companies operating in this space.
I’m a dad first.
Everything I do online has always been about trying to create opportunities while supporting my family doing something I genuinely enjoy.
Right now, I honestly don’t know what the future looks like.
That uncertainty is scary.
I’ve built relationships with platforms, communities, and people all over this industry. I’ve invested thousands of hours into learning content creation, marketing, streaming, and building pages like Ryan Purvis Promotions and Call of Dad Duty from the ground up.
Seeing legislation like this pass in my home state makes me realize how quickly things can change.
I’m trying to stay positive, adapt, and figure out what comes next, but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t weighed heavily on me mentally and financially.
No matter what happens, I appreciate every single person who has supported me, watched content, shared posts, interacted with streams, or simply believed in what I’ve been building.
We keep moving forward.
One day at a time.
