We are hosting local practitioner, Anton Naess, in a THAI "Yoga" Massage workshop.
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY/INDEFINITELY POSTPONED.
WHEN:
Sunday March 29, 2020 (1:15-3:15PM)
WHAT is Thai "Yoga" Massage?
Thai Massage combines stretching and compression techniques to ease tension, reduce pain and increase range of motion in muscles, joints and connective tissues. Traditionally practiced clothed and on a floor mat, Thai massage is a portable and effective way to work on a body.
The purpose of the workshop, is to learn about TM and practice some TM techniques on a partner. Participants will both give and receive 45 minutes of hands on work, with my guidance and supervision.
WHAT to expect:
Participants should wear appropriate clothing, which is non-restrictive and flexible. Come dressed to move, and be moved. TM is practiced on the ground, so participants should be able to comfortably sit, lay down, and be on their knees on a firm, padded surface. Be advised that some TM techniques are contraindicated for those with joint replacements.
