Alicia is an 18-year-old Business Administration major at The Ohio State University who aspires to one day become a CEO. Alongside her professional ambitions, she has carried a lifelong passion for singing, performing música ranchera since the age of five.
Her love for Mexican culture is reflected in the vibrant colors, traditional cuisine, beautiful customs, and rich history of her heritage. She is especially inspired by the golden-orange cempasúchil flowers of Día de los Mu***os, a cherished Mexican tradition that honors loved ones who have passed and celebrates the lasting connection between generations.
When Alicia sings, she feels transformed, able to express emotions and tell stories beyond words. Through the bright, traditional colors she wears and the music she shares, she embraces her identity, honors her roots, and expresses gratitude to her ancestors for the sacrifices they made and the traditions they passed down.
To Alicia, music is a universal language that connects us all. Through her performance, she invites the audience to take the next three minutes to breathe, feel, and experience the beauty and spirit of Mexico through its music and traditions.
