Since 2017, Headcleaner has been a consent-forward, anti-harassment dance party rooted in the underground sounds of house, techno, breakbeats, and garage. It’s a space that transports the mind and body, offering more than just a night out. Headcleaner is devoted to providing a safe & inclusive environment that spotlights underrepresented and marginalized artists - LGBTQIA+, women, BIPOC. The residents, event staff, and even attendees are proactive, ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone within and out of the dancefloor, addressing any concerns swiftly. This isn’t just a party; it’s a platform for expression, a collective of diverse talent, and a community where everyone is welcome to connect, dance, and become empowered. Headcleaner is made up of:

Based in Columbus, Ohio, D RING is the attachment point bringing people together. A dynamic open-format DJ who connects with existing sound to create something different than its original intention. His understanding of sonic storytelling and ability to read the room allows him to take listeners on a journey through club and ballroom beats, r&b, house, techno, and beyond.

Practice (obsessed with sound)
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, practice is a founding member of CWC and an all-around music enthusiast. With a deep love of analog and digital instrumentation, the artist uses music to explore self, world, and realities that do not yet exist. Practice believes in music as a portal, a tool to open doors and dimensions. Expect ambient, acidic, and psychedelic textures infused with percussive rhythms.

Introducing our first artist on the roster for Aug 1st!

DonII is a 23-year-old DJ born and raised on the east side of Columbus, Ohio. Growing up, the everyday sounds of the city and the music around her helped shape how she sees the world. Because of that, DJing felt like a natural way for her to share those sounds and feelings with other people. Her sound is club and techno-heavy, with fun references, R&B touches, and a lot of personality. Through her sets, DonII tells the story of a DOLL moving through the real world, using sound to express what she feels and how she experiences life. Inspired by the people, family, and creative energy of Class War Collective, she hopes to inspire more people to share what they feel through art in whatever way feels real to them.

We are super excited to have co-headliners at our July edition! You are seeing that right, its on July 4th.
It probably comes as no surprise that we aren't going to celebrate our pride in this country for this month's Headcleaner. We collectively feel very little pride in our country, unless its directly related to our ability to gather for our monthly ritual. We will dance nonetheless.
In addition to having Detroits finest co-headlining this month, we have our dear friend Hijack making his debut!
