I've not been using this account much this year, but I wanna shout out an extremely fu***ng cool project from 2025 I've been helping with.

Brad Walker created "Reading the House Down" and "Plot Twist" sober drag and burlesque shows at Clintonville Books, among other great author talks and other programming. Like.... an author SOUGHT OUT the bookstore for an event because of hosting sober drag and burlesque shows. Thats 💫Brad's impact💫

Getting to be part of making these shows happen is one of the highlights of this year- including helping with Janée Divine's fantastic DEBUT this December 🥹

Next burlesque show is already cast and just LOOK at how great that is!! And it's Brad's bday show on his actual factual birthday🎂

PS I don't handle casting or curation, just the bureaucracy of tech notes, raffle stuff, and the occasional water bottle run, but I will link Brad's form in my bio for any drag or burleskers interested in a small but mighty sober show with the sweetest audience. Make sure you support February's Reading the House Down too, with an all star all Black cast- I'll be in the audience!
