CBC Dancesport 2025 🎉

Selima, Lexie, and Remy brought their incredible dancing talents to the spotlight, truly shining in their performances! They've not only met, but exceeded their goals including adding the Viennese Waltz to their competitions.

I feel grateful to witness and be part of the dance journeys of these remarkable young ladies. As a teacher, I cherish the opportunity to nurture and inspire the next generation of dancers, ensuring that the dance community continues to thrive for years to come.

I couldn't be prouder of the hard work each of them has put into their lessons, and for waking up so early to compete, especially knowing that mornings aren’t everyone's favorite time! A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful moms for trusting me with your daughters and allowing me to contribute to their growth as dancers. Your efforts in learning how to style their hair create cherished memories, even if it includes a few complaints about painful pins here and there! ❤️

Riverfront 2025 was a great way to kick off the new year! 🎉

I cannot begin to express how proud I am of these three young ladies, It takes a lot of courage to get out on the competitive floor! For Remy and Lexie this was their first ballroom competition and they shined on the dance floor despite being nervous. Selima has done quite a few competitions already and also shined on the dance floor while she presented herself as a wonderful role model for everyone who hadn’t done a competition yet.

Whether you’re competing in a ballroom event or another style of dance people don’t see the hours and hours of work you put in preparing to compete. The only one that sees these hours are teachers or sometimes just the student themselves. Thank you for for all of your hard work and congrats!! 🎉😊

I am so happy to be a part of all of your dance journeys and that you have put your trust in me as your teacher to guide you. 💕

Congrats to all of my students who participated in the mock competition! I just couldn’t be more proud of my students and their performances at the mock competition. If you know me you know I love working with kids, they truly light up my day. Being able to share my love of dancing with these three amazing young ladies has been a highlight of my teaching.

Selima, it is so amazing to watch your growth on the dance floor and see you become a good role model for the other girls. You continue to remind me of myself when I was your age. 💕

Lexie, you did a great job at your first event with me and truly performed on the dance floor! I look forward to seeing how you tackle both styles of dance and continue to grow.💕

Remy, you didn’t let your nerves get the best of you on the floor and you put a lot of expression into your dances! You amazed me with your first performance with me in front of a big group of people.💕

And of course I can’t forget my Dad… I’ve been his teacher now for over 10 years and it has been so cool sharing my love of dance with him. I know you don’t plan on doing any more competitions and that’s okay! I’m just really proud of all you’ve accomplished and will always love sharing the social dance floor and occasionally mock competition floor with you. Love you! ❤️

A big congrats to Selima for a job well done at Northcoast DanceSport 2024 placing 🥇 in all of her dances! This was her second event this year and she had shown a lot of improvement since her first event.

It’s so cool to watch her grow as a dancer and help guide her on her dance journey. She continues to remind me of when I was a young dancer and I was very similar! A special thank you to her parents for being so supportive and for their kindness. Looking forward to future events and twinning with our hair! 💕
