It’s wedding day for Abby & Josh! We can’t wait to celebrate them with friends & family on this gorgeous June day.
It’s scan day! I don’t generally shoot film at weddings, but when asked I’ll throw a few rolls in my camera and grab some dreamy shots throughout the day. I wish I had the time to shoot film the entire day, but weddings are fast-paced and film is beautifully slow. It’s something I hope to master one day.
And sometimes the groom even gets his own lay flat because his details are just as beautiful as his bride’s. Here’s a beautiful film shot of Cory’s details. I’m so happy you thought to ask for this Kelly! 🤍
Yesterday’s engagement session with Jaye & Lucas was a dream. We went all over COMO to some of their favorite spots, but started where it all began - Hickman High School. It was one fateful class that brought these two into each other’s lives and it’s been perfection ever since.
Location was key for Jaye & Lucas as they wanted their photos in places that were memorable and important to their relationship. So, when Jaye & Lucas brought up Hickman as a possible location, this fellow this Kewpie was all over it!

We met up with Kelly & Cory for their Mizzou engagement session in Columbia, Missouri. These two doctors met at Mizzou so it was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session.
Halie and Kaleb’s cake was subtly chic. The textured bottom layer and gold leaf on the top was what cake dreams are made of.

The moment it starts to become real. That morning is busy with preparation, champagne with your best friends and reminiscing memories leading up to this day. But there’s something about stepping into the dress that makes it all finally seem real. This is the end of an era and a new, better one is about to begin. 🤍

In addition to getting married in a few weeks, they are both graduating from MIZZOU Med next weekend. I’ve never met a busier duo, but these two make it look easy!

Special moments happen often, especially in the wedding business. When you witness clients dreams come true every day it is really beautiful. But every once in a while you get to witness, in real time throughout her life, a beautiful princess becoming a queen. Little did one know that the practice shoot that we had with my film would one day be a real event again with my camera. Love you, Hailey. -J

Hailey & Cade had so many planned and unplanned moments that were incredibly personable and wonderful throughout their day that were not typical of our every day bride. It was so refreshing and sentimental! Tears were happily present for each occasion.
