Cold sores and lip blush tattoo: What to do?

If you are someone who is PRONE to cold sores, you CAN get lip blush tattoo, you will just need to call your doctor and get a prescription for an antiviral medication. Beginning this medication a few days before your appointment and continuing it for several days after keeps your lips safe. “Trauma” to the lips can sometimes cause a cold sore to show up, even if it has been 10 years since you’ve had one.

This is only the case for people who have had cold sores in the past, the lip tattoo does not cause someone to get a cold sore who has never had them before.
