The Elegance of the Great Egret: A Preening Sequence

Avery is back behind the lens! My 15-year-old daughter captured and edited this stunning 10-frame series of a Great Egret meticulously grooming its feathers. The way these birds contort their long, S-shaped necks to preen is absolutely mesmerizing, and she did a phenomenal job isolating the crisp white plumage and striking yellow bill against the dark background. Incredibly proud of her growing portfolio and eye for wildlife behavior!
