There are times I sit down with a rock and have no plan…

and then there are times like this one,
where the rock already knows exactly what it wants to be.

This one?
Ski goggles. 🎿

And honestly… the message wrote itself.

Because isn’t life a lot like this?

Same mountain.
Same conditions.
Same moment.

But a completely different experience depending on the lens you’re looking through.

Sometimes we don’t need to change everything around us…
we just need a new view.

✨ Change your lens. Change your life. ✨

Hello beautiful human…

If you’ve walked through grief that changed you forever,
this is your reminder:

You’re allowed to still feel it.
You’re allowed to still carry it.
And you’re allowed to use it to help someone else find their way.

Your pain didn’t disqualify you…
it positioned you.

Creating ripple effects of kindness 🤍

It’s easy to notice what’s wrong in people.
We’re wired for it.

But what if we flipped that?

What if we walked into every room looking for the best instead?

Because here’s the truth…
When you call out the good in someone, they start to believe it.
And when you practice seeing the good in others, it changes you too.

You don’t just find more light…
you become it.

Go be someone who brings out the best today. 💚

We spend so much time going back
replaying moments, rewriting conversations,
wishing we had known then what we know now.
But here’s what nobody tells you…
you couldn’t have known.
Not yet.
Some things can only be learned by living them.
The heartbreak. The wrong turn. The season that broke you open.
That wasn’t failure.
That was the lesson arriving exactly on time. 💛
So today, if you’re carrying something heavy from your past —
a decision, a relationship, a version of yourself you’re not proud of
what if you just… put it down?
Not because it didn’t matter.
But because you do.
You are not who you were.
You are who you became because of it.
And that person?
That person is worth forgiving. 💛

Sometimes delays are where life happens. 💙

We spend so much of our lives trying to get somewhere… chasing timelines, plans, and the way we thought things were supposed to go.

And then life pauses us.

A delay.
A detour.
A season that doesn’t make sense.

It’s easy to feel stuck there… like everything has gone wrong.

But what if it hasn’t?

What if some of the most meaningful moments in our lives don’t happen while we’re rushing forward—but while we’re being slowed down?

The conversations we didn’t expect.
The growth we didn’t ask for.
The strength we didn’t know we had.
The perspective we never would’ve gained otherwise.

Maybe the delay isn’t a disruption…
maybe it’s an invitation.

To breathe.
To notice.
To grow.
To connect.

If you find yourself in a season that feels like a delay, don’t rush through it.

Life might be happening right there. 💙

Hug Rocks is growing… and I can’t (and shouldn’t) do this alone anymore. ❤️

I have upcoming events at:
🇺🇸 Montana Veterans Home
🎒 Columbia Falls Junior High (all 6th graders — two full days!)

If you’ve ever thought,
“I wish I could help…”
This is your moment.

But here’s something important:

If you’d like to volunteer, I ask that you first sit at the table with me and paint your own Hug Rock.

Why?

Because this isn’t just about helping with supplies.
It’s about understanding the heart.
The listening.
The presence.
The sacredness of what happens at that table.

I’ll be hosting a Volunteer Paint Night soon for anyone interested in serving at future events.

If you want to be part of creating ripple effects of kindness…
Message me. ❤️

This was my third visit to Kalispell Assisted Living… and it just keeps getting more meaningful. ❤️

What moves me every single time is this:

Before they even pick up a paint marker, they already know.

They know who their rock is for.
They know the message that will go on the back.

A grandchild
A nurse.
A friend.
A son.
A daughter
A neighbor down the hall.

These residents don’t paint randomly.
They paint intentionally.

And when we’re finished, they hand me their rocks with the sweetest anticipation… waiting for them to come back all resined up and ready to be given to the person they’ve already chosen.

They light up when I return with them.
It’s like Christmas morning.

This is more than an activity.
It’s purpose.
It’s dignity.
It’s connection. ❤️

If you would ever like to sit at one of these tables with us, to listen, to encourage, to help create ripple effects of kindness, I would love to have you volunteer at a future visit.

Message me. Let’s keep this beautiful work going.

Sometimes love is heavy.
Not because it was wrong…
Not because it failed…
But because it mattered deeply.

When we love someone, we give them pieces of our heart.
And when they’re gone — whether by death, distance, or circumstances we never chose, we still carry those pieces.

Some days that love feels almost too big to hold.

This rock reminds me that God never wastes love.
Not a single tear.
Not a single memory.
Not a single aching place.

Even in the heaviness, He is near.
Even in the missing, He is present.
Even in the unanswered questions, He is still good.

If you’re carrying heavy love today, I’m praying you feel held.
Praying you feel seen.
Praying you sense quiet comfort in the middle of the ache.

You are not alone.
You never have been. 🤍

“Even in the rain, love covers you.”
Sometimes love doesn’t stop the storm…
It simply becomes the umbrella.
May you feel wrapped, protected, and seen today. ❤️
