It is Ramen season at GEN Japanese Izakaya! The Chicken Paitan Ramen broth is simmered for over five hours. The result is a deep, rich broth to accompany a delicious tare, seared chicken thigh, menma, ajitsuke tamago and Chinese broccoli. Like it spicy? Have it with the GEN rayu. Really hungry? GEN is now offering the next addition to its premium sake list—Hoyo Genji “Shining Prince” Junmai from the Uchigasaki Brewery in Miyagi Prefecture. Falling between a rich Junmai and a Junmai Ginjo, it has notes of citrus, green apple and jasmine. Be sure to try it with their sushi or any of the zensai. Kanpai!
