Can America Find the Spirit of September 12th Again?

In an era of political and cultural division, the anniversary of 9/11 creates an opportunity to revisit a moment when Americans demonstrated unusual unity across differences.

The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs will host a special September 11th Remembrance program in partnership with the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

The program will feature a panel of post-9/11 veterans discussing how the attacks of September 11, 2001 influenced their decisions to serve in uniform and how that commitment to service has continued in their lives and communities.

Rotary members and guests will also be invited to reflect on how 9/11 shaped their own understanding of service, patriotism and community responsibility.

What would it look like to recover some of that shared spirit of service today?
