From a pencil sketch to a shower wall.

Every peak in this mountain mural was cut from natural stone, dry-fit on the bench, then set, grouted, and sealed into a working shower — with full waterproofing behind it, built to TCNA standards.

Art you can shower in. That's the whole idea.

Which mountain range would you put on your wall? 🏔️

Tile as art. This mountain mural is hand-cut glass, piece by piece — no prints, no shortcuts.

AI mosaic concepts. Testing software that refines patterns, draws out layouts, and pulls color palettes before a single piece of glass gets cut.

None of these are built yet. This is the sketchbook phase — just faster.

The craftsmanship nobody photographs is often what makes the whole shower work.

Straight grout lines. Wood-look plank tile running true. A level, properly aligned niche. Clean transitions around the bench, frameless glass enclosure, and penny-round shower floor.

This custom walk-in shower keeps the palette calm with grey tile, warm neutrals, and matte black fixtures, but the installation is anything but casual.

Behind the finished surfaces is a waterproof-first build designed for real life: thoughtful layout, reliable detailing, and no shortcuts where it matters most.

The most important part of a handmade mosaic shower is the part nobody sees.

Before a single piece of glass goes up, I build the waterproofing system. Water always finds the smallest gap. If it gets behind the tile, Colorado’s freeze-thaw cycles give that moisture room to expand. That movement can break down setting materials, damage the substrate, and loosen the work above it.

That is why every build starts with Schluter waterproofing systems: a properly prepared substrate, sealed transitions, protected penetrations, and a continuous path for water to drain where it belongs. The mosaic is the visible art. The waterproofing is what allows it to remain sound.

This Northern Lights shower mosaic in Cripple Creek shows the finished result: red and orange sky, grey stone peaks, and a green leaf stained-glass window. But the real confidence is underneath it.

The artistic half gets the attention. The technical half earns the longevity. Both are done by the same hands that have been in the trade for 26 years, no shortcuts, just careful work built for real life in Colorado.

Designers and builders: when you specify a custom mosaic shower, what waterproofing detail do you want your installer to explain before the first tile is set?

One stone river. One room.

This completed Colorado Springs bathroom uses natural river pebble to create a continuous ribbon that begins on the floor, crosses the shower threshold, and rises the full height of the far shower wall.

Set between grey plank tile, the sweep makes the floor and wall read as one connected design instead of two separate finishes.

That is where craft shows. Anyone can lay a straight field of tile. The sweeping ribbon is where skill separates from the pack: keeping the layout consistent across a change of plane, in a wet area, without letting the lines wander.

Behind it all: a waterproof-first build with a properly prepared substrate and waterproofing system beneath the stone.

After 26 years in the trade, the standard remains simple: precise work, solid foundations, zero shortcuts.

Could you imagine a river of stone running through your own bathroom?
