Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself/business officially before the online store goes live in the coming months!

My name is Clay Schmitt. Plants have always been apart of my life and my family. We’ve always had gardens that we’ve eaten from, and my grandfather on dad’s side was a peach farmer until the day he passed. My grandmother on my mom’s side tended a vegetable garden, but was known in every neighborhood she lived in for her beautiful flowers and variety of foliage.

A year ago I went through the worst situation I’ve ever been in; and if you know me that’s saying a lot 😅. It was also in that time that I had to relive some horrible childhood trauma I had all but completely forgotten about.

During that time I started caring for some plants my mom had gotten me in my new apartment. Caring for those plants and seeing them grow consumed me; and within months plants consumed my apartment. The joy I have when I walk in and am surrounded by them is indescribable, and I want to share that feeling and experience with others.

I don’t plan on being a standard plant shop; as far as plants go I will specialize primarily in very rare breeds and variegations as I already have.

I will also be offering my curios; both as is with what I have and fully customizable (even hand built live-edge cabinets coming next year earliest) - as well as all of the weird creepy stuff to put in your own (bones, skulls, preserved bugs, preserved animals, all the weirds)

And lastly, I will be offering interior landscaping services; both design as well as care/pest mitigation/upkeep. This could range from designing/curating an entire sunroom around a region or plant species of your choosing, down to just nutrient based watering/feeding while you’re out of town.

With the traction I’ve had 2 months in I cannot wait to see where this new journey takes me!
