Smith & Traci Mariano, suitable for audiences of all ages, featuring a multigenerational cast and set in a small American city. Synopsis: It’s Christmas Eve and Lena, 14, needs to find a gift for her new guardian. But what can she get for an aunt she barely knows, in a town she just moved to? As all the stores begin to close, Lena sees one last shop window still glowing. When she steps through the door of Manny’s Book & Paper store, Lena takes us along on magical journey of storytelling and self-discovery. Northern Lights celebrates the power of art, kindness, friendship, imagination, and hot cocoa to warm the heart and light the way home. NORTHERN LIGHTS had its first staged reading in December 2021 at the Paramount Theater in Peekskill, NY, directed by Alice Jankell, and featuring: Kurt Rhoads, Nance Williamson, Malachy Cleary, Sasha Lew Andrews, Marisa Lowe, Dante De Leo, and Samuel Bates.
