👏 What if something as simple as clapping could help your child get ready to read?

Clapping along to music isn’t just fun—it helps little ones develop rhythm, coordination, listening skills, speech and language, and even early literacy skills. Research highlighted by Kindermusik shows that preschoolers who can keep a steady beat demonstrate stronger reading readiness.

So the next time you’re singing together, clap along! Tap out the beat, clap the syllables in a word, or make up your own silly rhythm. It’s a simple way to turn music and movement into meaningful learning.

Want to discover even more ways music supports your child’s development? Come clap, sing, move and learn with us at Joyspace Kindermusik Foundation Class! 💛

Parents, have you ever wondered why your little one is constantly jumping, spinning, rolling, dancing, and wiggling?

Those wiggles are actually doing important work! The vestibular system helps young children develop balance, coordination, spatial awareness, attention, and self-regulation — and movement is a big part of that learning.

That’s one of the things we love about Kindermusik at Joyspace Movement Lab. Our classes bring music, movement, rhythm, and playful exploration together in a welcoming environment where local families can learn, connect, and have fun.

If you’re in Clinton, Connecticut or the surrounding Connecticut shoreline communities, come let your little one move, groove, explore, and… yes, WIGGLE!

Is your child constantly jumping, spinning, or rolling around the floor? Or perhaps they seem the opposite — motion-sensitive, hesitant to swing, or quick to get carsick? These behaviors aren’t just quirks. They often point to a vital and often overlooked part of your child’s brain development...
