Memory Machine has officially opened at Yuz Project Space of Art

At the exhibition, Thai artist Kawita Vatanajyankur shares a practice that moves from objectified labour to human-machine symbiosis and the awakening of consciousness. Through her own body, she reflects on invisible labour, gendered expectations, and the structural imbalances often hidden beneath everyday life.

Walking forward, walking backward — it is all time.

Both Liu and Zhang were born in Shanghai, where they grew up and continue to live and work. Their works are deeply rooted in everyday experience and perception. Each artist sensitively captures fragments and subtle textures of urban development, social systems, and historical events. In Everything is on time, only time was never ours., their works form an open field for observing how individuals respond to and reflect on their own existence within modern cities.

Ouroboros (2012), The self-devouring serpent symbolizes endless greed, reflecting Choe U-Ram’s ongoing exploration of human desire.

As his practice evolved, Choe gradually integrated mythological and historical narratives into his works, endowing each with an independent storyline and imbuing these creature-like forms with their own history and soul at Yuz Museum.
