Creativity has looked different the last couple days since I sprained my foot and haven’t been able to make my normal check in art. Crochet has been getting me through.

October 9th check in art- I can’t say enough how much consistent art making has grounded me during this season.

Crochet is more than just a hobby. It can be just as healing as other forms of art making can be. The repetitive nature of making stitch after stitch is calming, centering, and an easy way to get into the flow state. For me, I turn to crochet in the hard seasons where there’s no order and nothing makes sense. I find creating something solid out of yarn to comfort me in these times.
