Just Chayce and me at Cedar Point with fresh haircuts on a CoasterMania Friday. We weren't here for CoasterMania—we were here for family, food, and fun. 😎🎢🌅
We started with lunch at the Grand Pavilion. I had the rotisserie steak with cheesy au gratin potatoes, and Chayce went with the funnel cake-battered shrimp and corn on the cob.
After that, we rode Steel Vengeance, scoped out the rest of the park, and decided to call it a day with a win. Great food, my favorite roller coaster, and quality time with my youngest son.
Sometimes that's all you need. ❤️

Part 2 of the day at Cedar Point. 🌊🎢

The wind off Lake Erie really picked up in the afternoon—but it also gave me one of the best views of the day.

Raptor diving through the cobra roll across from Valravn, then closing it out with Lake Erie whitecaps rolling in at the Grand Pavilion.

Windy, loud, and still a perfect finish.

Caught up at work, left early, filled the tank, and turned a random Thursday into a quick family run to Cedar Point. 🎢🌅

Dinner at the Grand Pavilion, rides on GateKeeper, Valravn, and Siren’s Curse, then a sunset drive home along the lake. All in about 2½ hours.

Sometimes the best trips are the unplanned ones. 😎🎢🌇

Solo Sunday Funday before the new position starts tomorrow.

Walked in to GateKeeper flying over the entrance, got my first Raptor ride of the season in with a short wait, then spent almost an hour at the GateKeeper platform through a loose item stop and maintenance delay before finally tapping out.

Pivoted to Farmhouse instead. Fire grilled steak, cornbread casserole, extra steak portions, and a gosling walking across my feet while I ate by the water somehow became the reset moment of the day.

Took the beach path back to the Jeep, found front-row parking at 23A, cooled off in the AC, watched the buses start rolling out, and realized the park was telling me to call it a day.

No marathon session. No coaster count flex. Just a good reminder that sometimes the win is knowing when you got what you came for.

On the way home we took what the boys call the scenic route and got treated to a sunset like no other.

I handed my phone to Chrystian and told him to snap away — and he did.

This is the other half of Cool Coasters and Sunsets. Coasters for the rush, sunsets for the reset.

Part 3 — the pivot.

Part 1 was us walking in. Part 2 was realizing it wasn't moving.

This is us leaving the line. That's Shoobie in the 23 shirt, Siren's Curse still sitting on the tilt in front of us the whole walk.

You can hear me — "They're still doing it... it's a Millennium Force we go."

And that's exactly what we did next.
