Some of my sweetest memories were made playing make believe in my grandmothers forest 🌳 , my moms magical garden 🪴 , or just exploring the woods 🌲.There’s just something about the quiet and beauty of nature that unlocks dreams, ideas and imagination! A friend commissioned this piece from a picture of her two boys trying to catch butterflies in her beautiful garden! 🦋

Sometimes people say, I love art but I don’t want to pay for it. My thought on this is that it’s an investment. You can buy a stock image art from a big store just so it will match your couch, but you’ll be replacing that next season when you need a refresh. But a hand painted piece of art that speaks to you or captures a personal memory, that will be something you’ll hold near and dear and pass down to generation after generation with a story to go along with it.

What a pleasure to paint this memory for a beautiful friend!

Back in the studio after the break! Whenever I’m in a season where I have to step away for a bit, it always makes me so excited to get back!
