Favorite Community Activity

Isabel and I both agree that our favorite community activity was participating in A Night Under The Stars Prom hosted by Functional Friends earlier this year. This is a prom aimed at inclusivity of individuals with disabilities. As a mom of a child with Autism and another child with Down Syndrome, I cannot adequately put in to words how much this prom impacted me. To see kids just being kids and having fun. This is certainly something that we will continue to participate in for years to come!

What is your Favorite Charity?

Isabel and I are passionate about inclusion and acceptance. Because of that, we do a significant about of service with the Dayton Autism Society. Isabel’s platform, You’ve Got A Friend in Me, along with my platform, Don’t Dis-My-Abilities, stemmed from my son who was diagnosed with Autism. Since then, we have worked to help promote acceptance and inclusion of those who are differently abled. Different doesn’t mean not capable; and working with the Dayton Autism Society has made that even more apparent.

There was a request, and we delivered! Isabel and I donated a large bag full of grocery bags to the local food kitchen, House of Bread. These bags are given to unhoused individuals to help keep their belongings together and protected from the elements.

Show off your pets!

We have 3 cats:
Gandhi (Tuxedo kitty)
Snow Angel (full black kitty)
Spicy (Orange Kitty)

Gandhi loves snuggles and will follow you everywhere you go. He is our oldest cat and he is 12 years young!

Snow Angel is our only girl cat. She loves indoors and outdoors. She loves us so much, she brings us little daily gifts and leaves them outside for us to find in the morning. She is now 10 years old!

Spicy is the youngest of the bunch and he definitely has Orange Cat Energy! He loves attention, belly rubs, and treats!

Today we take a little trip down memory lane with some throwback pictures from childhood!

Our Miss Teen Ohio North America, Isabel, seems to have already had that pageant pose down pat!

Ms. Ohio North America, Nicole, participated in many extracurricular activities, including the Color Guard in high school!

There are 30 days until we begin the International Competition to crown the new North America Queens!! 👑👸

We have been challenged by our director to complete a month of daily challenges. Accepted!!

Day 1: Tell us about yourself and your title.

We are Nicole and Isabel, your Ms. Ohio North America and Miss Teen Ohio North America.

Nicole is Isabel’s mom and is a criminal defense attorney. This is a career Nicole wanted since she was 12 years old. She has 5 kids, the youngest of which are twins who will be 1 year old on the 18th! She enjoys community service oriented events centered around her platform, Don’t Dis-My-Abilites, which promotes equality and inclusivity for individuals with perceived inabilities.

Isabel is an upcoming Junior is high school. She is active in sports including field hockey and sideline basketball cheer, where she is a varsity cheerleader! She loves pageants and community service. She started her platform, You’ve Got A Friend in Me, after seeing her Autistic brother being left out from social functions. She strives to let others know they are not alone.

We cannot wait to see everyone at Internationals!!
